Collection: How To Manage Gingivitis

Gingivitis is the earliest stage of gum disease, often showing up as bleeding gums, inflammation, or soreness. It develops when plaque and harmful bacteria build up in the mouth due to ineffective cleaning. The good news is that gingivitis is both preventable and reversible with the right care.

How to Prevent and Manage Gingivitis:

  • Brush thoroughly twice a day with either a manual or electric toothbrush, using the correct technique.
  • Clean between teeth daily with interdental aids such as TePe brushes. With consistent care, gum inflammation and bleeding can improve within as little as two weeks.

Although gingivitis can feel uncomfortable and may cause some people to avoid brushing, daily cleaning is essential. By continuing to clean—even if it feels tender at first—you allow the gums to heal, tighten, and become healthier over time.

This collection brings together the dentist-recommended products we suggest to our patients to control and reduce gingivitis, preventing it from progressing into more serious gum disease. Tools like TePe interdental brushes physically remove plaque and bacteria, while supportive products such as Colgate Peroxyl Mouthwash can help soothe irritated gums during the healing process.
